Workers Protest against Delayed Wages
On 29 March 2010, the workers of Projects Construction Company
protested against the three-month delay in paying their wages. The
protestors also called for interference from the Government, especially
the Ministry of Justice. Kareem Radi, from Bahrain Federation of
Trade Unions, said that the delay in paying workers’ wages was unacceptable,
especially in light of the current difficult economic circumstances.
The Labour Ministry demanded the company to pay all outstanding
salaries, and warned it from repeating this delay again.
