Imprisonment for Assaulting Two Domestic Workers

On 9 November 2010, the Public Prosecutor ordered the detention of a Bahraini man and a Bahraini woman pending investigation for physical assault against two domestic Asian workers and locking them inside a toilet. The President of the Labour Committee in the Migrant Workers Protection Society, Noora Folayfil praised the Public Prosecutor’s measures and described the referral of the accused to the Criminal Court as a step in the right direction.
